Do not try to be the best. Just do your best. — Sadh guru

Have you ever tried to change some of your habits? It seems difficult, isn’t it? So did I feel the same, but I took my step & so should you.

Here is a small list of changes I brought into my life. I let some of them go away while I added some and trust me; the journey has been the best I have traveled so far.

  1. Overthinking :

Here are some activities you can follow to eliminate it from your life.

  • Plan your time
  • Avoid sitting idle
  • Practice positive thinking
  • Write journals or gratitude books. Practice gratitude each day.
  • Every day when you get out of bed, the first thing you should do is smile. This will fill you with energy & positivity.
  • Engage yourself with activities such as playing games, reading books, meditating, exercising, etc.

2. Gratitude :

Below are some things I practice each day.

  • I write three things I am grateful for each day.
  • With the rising of the sun, I chant a Sanskrit shloka which relates to beautiful nature. It keeps me calm.
  • Practice kindness. Helping your family, friends, anyone around you. Be it animals, birds, etc.
  • Practice forgiveness because we all are humans in the end & mistakes do happen. But make sure you don't curse yourself for little things in life. Learn from the wrong & avoid doing it again. Forgive both yourself and others.
  • Spending time with pets & your loved ones. This makes you more responsible and sensible to your thoughts and actions. It has been scientifically proven as well.

3. Discipline :

  • Self evaluate yourself once in a while.
  • I keep myself motivated & stay away from procrastination.
  • Consistent with work and my responsibilities.

4. Health :

Health is your greatest wealth, always remember this.

  • Most of the diet I eat is raw.
  • I eliminate fast foods from my diet.
  • Exercising and yoga practice is always a priority each day.
  • Always be grateful for what you get on your plate, every bit of the food you get. Be thankful for it.
  • Inculcate Vedic practices for a stronger, healthier & happier life. I can see the change each day & so will you.

Always go with the flow of life. Inculcate what good comes your way and let go off the bad. Life is much bigger than this. These are some little things that help us grow to the person we always want to see ourselves as.

When you exchange a smile with someone or you make a person happy or you feed a bird or just do anything good, doesn’t that feel awesome? It does, right? It makes you happy for the entire day. Learn to give back to people around but in the process always keep yourself as your no.1 priority.

Until we meet the next time, beautiful wishes to each one of you.

Happy 2021!💛
